Dr. DeAngelis joined UK Department of Orthopaedic Surgery as a fellowship trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon in September 2024.  He completed his Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston August 2023 – July 2024 and his Orthopaedic Residency at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania June 2018 – June 2023.  Dr. DeAngelis received his Doctor of Medicine|Valedictorian from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University August 2014 – May 2018 and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with minor in biology from The College of New Jersey |Honors College Graduate – Magna Cum Laude August 2010 – May 2014.

Dr. DeAngelis has received numerous honors/awards including AO Trauma North America Fellows Forum Runner up for Best Abstract, “Improving visualization of the articular surface in posterolateral tibial plateau fractures”, AO Trauma North America June 2024, AO Trauma North America Davos Fellows Experience Awardee, AO Trauma North America December 2023, DeForest P. Willard, MD Award for outstanding performance as a senior orthopaedic resident, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Surgery Residency June 2023, and the  Eleanor A. Slanga Resident Research Award, Co-Investigator for “Using Next Generation Sequencing to Understand Infection Prevention in Surgical Treatment of Upper Extremity Fractures – It’s Time to Stop Wasting Resources!”, Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society May 2023.
