Dorie Kogut, MPH, APRN, DNP
Dorie R. Kogut, MPH, FNP-C, DNP is a Family Nurse Practitioner and HIV Advanced Practice Provider Fellow at the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Care Clinic, where she specializes in HIV primary care, infectious diseases, and care for underserved populations. With a multidisciplinary background spanning nursing, public health, and community health education, she is passionate about improving health outcomes through evidence-based, relationship-centered care. Dorie earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where her doctoral project focused on improving quality-of-life assessments in aging adults living with HIV. She also holds a Master of Public Health in Global Health from Boston University with an emphasis in infectious and communicable diseases.
Throughout her career, Dorie has worked extensively with vulnerable and marginalized communities across outpatient infectious disease clinics, HIV care settings, and public health initiatives. Her clinical interests include HIV prevention and treatment, sexual health, LGBTQ+ health, health education and addressing health disparities through interdisciplinary collaboration.
When Dorie is not at work, she enjoys spending her free time with her dog, Nox and braving the hills in Lexington during long runs. She never turns down an opportunity to binge watch a Real Housewives franchise or discuss useless pop culture stories.
