Rita Crum, MSN, RN, is the Service Line Director for Women’s and Children’s Services at Appalachian Regional Healthcare, where she leads strategic initiatives focused on maternal, infant, pediatric, and family health across a rural healthcare system serving Central Appalachia. With a background in nursing leadership, quality improvement, and program development, she is passionate about advancing equitable maternal care, strengthening rural healthcare delivery, and improving outcomes for women and infants.

Rita is an active member of Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Kentucky Maternal Mortality Review Committee (KYMMRC), and the Kentucky Perinatal Quality Collaborative (KyPQC). Her work centers on maternal safety, perinatal quality improvement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative approaches to supporting mothers and families in underserved communities.
