  • Describe the benefits and risks of liver transplant
  • Identify indications and contraindications for transport, including complications of cirrhosis and selected cases (e.g., alcohol-related hepatitis)
  • Apply prognostic tools, including the Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) 3.0 score and MELD exceptions
  • Outline the liver transplant evaluation and listing process
  • Recognize challenges in prognostication, communication, and advance care planning in cirrhosis
  • Discuss the role of palliative care across the transplant continuum
