Ginny Lee Gottschalk, M.D. is an associate professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.  She received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, KY.  She completed a residency in Family Medicine at Palmetto Health in Columbia, SC.  She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  She was previously in private practice in Danville, KY, practicing traditional inpatient and outpatient family medicine before returning to UK Healthcare.  Dr. Gottschalk currently serves as the Nicholas J. Pisacano, MD Endowed Chair for the Department of Family and Community Medicine.  She enjoys chronic disease management and caring for families.  Dr. Gottschalk also enjoys teaching medical students and residents, as this is what brought her to the University.  She has previously served at the Medical Director for the DFCM Turfland clinic and Urgent Care and the third year clerkship director. 

She enjoys spending time with her daughter and family, attending UK sporting events, and traveling.
