Raised in Lexington, Kentucky, I have completed all of my education locally. I earned B.S. degrees in Biology and Biochemistry in UK's College of Arts and Sciences as an undergraduate prior to receiving my M.D. from UK's College of Medicine in 2019. I completed Internal Medicine residency during the height of the Covid pandemic before serving as the Lexington VA's Chief Resident of Quality and Safety from 2022-2023. I joined UK's Division of Hospital Medicine as an Assistant Professor in July of 2023 and have remained in full-time clinical practice since. I particularly value high-quality communication among members of the broader multidisciplinary care team and between patients and providers, as well as in education. My clinical time is typically a mixture of teaching services and Medicine-Oncology co-management.
