Medication Assisted Treatment Pharmacotherapy Series - Pharmacotherapy for Opioids
1 out of every 5 individuals is living with a behavioral or mental health challenge. To ensure that healthcare professionals can adequately identify and secure medication-assisted pharmacotherapy that supports patients who use nicotine, opiates, alcohol, and long acting injectables. It is critical for professionals to have current knowledge to provide effective treatment and education for patients who need this support. Medication-assisted pharmacotherapy training is essential for healthcare professionals working in mental and behavioral health settings because this patient population is more likely to experience challenges with abuse of substances and medication adherence. This 4-part series, 1 CEU per session, will offer pharmacotherapy information related to nicotine, opiates, alcohol, and long acting injectables.
This session will discuss opioid dependence treatment in the inpatient psychiatric setting.
Target Audience
