Dr Cornblath did his neurology training at the University of Pennsylvania followed by neuroophthalmology fellowship at the Wilmer Institute at Johns Hopkins University. He then joined the faculty at the University of Michigan where he is a Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Neurology. He currently sees patients and teaches residents and fellows. He was involved in the Optic Neuritis Treatment Trial and the Ischemic Optic Neuropathy Decompression Trial and has written about myasthenia gravis, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, transient visual loss, post-operative ischemic optic neuropathy and various aspects of neuroimaging.
