Dr. DD Maes is a pulmonologist and intensivist at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Dr. Maes received her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine - New Orleans in 2016. She completed her residency in Medicine-Pediatrics at the University of Kentucky in 2020, followed by her fellowship in pulmonology and critical care at the University of Kentucky in 2023. She is the Director for Pulmonology Curriculum and Core Faculty for the Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine fellowship program, as well as core faculty and clinical coach for the Medicine-Pediatrics residency program. Her clinical interests include severe asthma, transitional care of adolescents into adult pulmonology, and special populations such as pregnancy-associated pulmonary disease.
