Thomas Gal, MD, MPH

I am a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery with the University of Kentucky with both a clinical and surgical practice here since 2006. Besides the clinical and surgical aspects of my tenure here, I also maintain an active role in cancer research as well as training and mentoring residents, medical students and graduate students in patient care, surgery and research. I received my medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Completed my residency in Otolaryngology at the University of South Florida, Tampa. My fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Washington in Seattle, where I also obtained a Master's in Public Health (MPH) in Cancer Epidemiology.
I have obtained additional training in Transoral Robotic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and am board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I serve on the Endocrine Cancer Team, the Head and Neck Cancer Team, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery as well as several committee’s with the University of Kentucky.
