Dr. Oliver Fackelmayer is a board-certified general surgeon at UK HealthCare with a Focused Practice Designation in adult complex thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He specializes in the surgical management of benign and cancerous conditions of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands. He has a particular interest in adrenalectomy for adrenal tumors, most often performed as a minimally invasive operation.

After receiving his medical degree from New York Medical College, Dr. Fackelmayer trained at the University of Colorado for his general surgery residency. He then completed an American Association of Endocrine Surgeons-accredited fellowship in endocrine surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles.
