Kaitlin Banasiewicz, PhD, MSN, RN, is the Director of Patient Safety and Clinical Research at Med Center Health in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She earned her BSN (2019), MSN (2023), and PhD in Nursing Research (2025) from East Carolina University College of Nursing.
 
Dr. Banasiewicz began her nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse at ECU Health in Greenville, North Carolina, where she practiced from 2019 to 2023. During this time, she also served as a Clinical Trial Nurse Coordinator, contributing to gynecologic oncology research and advancing evidence-based clinical practice.
 
In her current role, Dr. Banasiewicz leads patient safety initiatives and oversees clinical research infrastructure across the health system. Her work centers on improving systems of care, integrating research and evidence-based practices into operational decision making, and promoting safety culture. Dr. Banasiewicz’s program of research explores how sociocultural factors influence pain-management decision making among first-time birthing people.
