Katie Cornett, RN, BSN, is a dedicated nursing professional with a passion for cardiovascular care and patient advocacy. A graduate of Kent State University, she began her nursing career working in cardiac care and spent many years traveling throughout hospitals along the East Coast, gaining extensive clinical experience in diverse healthcare settings.

Since joining the University of Kentucky in 2015, Katie has continued to serve patients and healthcare partners with excellence and compassion. She currently works as a Nurse Liaison with the Gill Affiliate Network, where she helps strengthen relationships between UK HealthCare and affiliate hospitals, facilitating access to specialized services and supporting collaborative patient care across the region.

Katie's broad clinical background, combined with her commitment to building strong healthcare partnerships, allows her to serve as a valuable resource for providers, patients, and affiliate organizations alike.

Outside of her professional role, Katie is a proud mother of two and enjoys balancing a rewarding career in healthcare with family life.
