Chioma Obianuju Obiokoye, MBBS, MPH, is a cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nigeria Faculty of Medicine and a Master of Public Health from the Drexel University School of Public Health. Dr. Obiokoye completed her internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Jacobi Medical Center, followed by a cardiology fellowship at East Carolina University. She then pursued advanced fellowship training in heart failure and cardiac transplantation at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Obiokoye's academic and research interests focus on heart failure, cardiovascular health disparities, myocardial fibrosis, care coordination, and quality improvement. She has contributed to numerous research projects and publications in these areas and remains actively engaged in advancing evidence-based cardiovascular care. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, Heart Failure Society of America, and American Association of Black Cardiologists.

Since joining Norton Healthcare in 2022, Dr. Obiokoye has served as a heart failure cardiologist and is a member of the Norton Healthcare Heart & Vascular Institute Advanced Heart Failure Recovery Program.
