Lynn Mattingly, RN, BSN, has more than 20 years of professional nursing experience. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) in 1997 before later earning an Associate Degree in Nursing in 2002, also from EKU. She later completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Morehead State University in 2014.

Lynn began her career in ICU, where she worked for three years. She then transitioned to cardiology, working in electrophysiology (EP) for over 17 years. During her tenure in the EP space, Lynn served as a clinical research coordinator for five years, before launching the region’s first nurse-led atrial fibrillation (AFib) clinic. In addition, Lynn was instrumental in developing and implementing a new emergency department AFib treatment protocol, which significantly reduced AFib readmissions.  Most notably, Lynn spearheaded her team’s efforts to achieve the nation’s first Atrial Fibrillation with EP Services Accreditation from the American College of Cardiology. Lynn also served as the data abstractor for the American Heart Association AFib registry, directed scorecard metric review meetings, and participated in Chest Pain Accreditation efforts.

In 2023, Lynn was excited to join the Gill Affiliate Network (GAN) as the Clinical Quality and Program Director. Since that time, she has collaborated with our affiliate partners to start a network wide quality benchmarking program.  The program combines benchmark reporting with best practice sharing and is making a meaningful difference to the health of cardiac patients across the state. Lynn also launched and oversees the GAN Nurse Liaison program, a concierge referral program for referring providers within the Gill Affiliate Network. The program provides a seamless referral experience for both the referring provider and the patient, as well as providing closed-loop communication by ensuring referring providers receive all notes and documentation of their patient’s care.
