Robert D. Maynard, PhD, is a clinical chemist and the Director of Special Chemistry, Point of Care, and Blood Gases here at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Maynard earned his PhD in Pathology at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY in 2019 before heading to the University of Colorado Anschutz in Aurora, Colorado for an Instructor role in the Department of Orthopedics. In 2021, he started his Clinical Chemistry fellowship at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill before joining the University of Kentucky in 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology.
