Dr. Emma Uchida is a board-certified hematology/bone marrow transplant clinical pharmacist at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center. Dr. Uchida received her Bachelor of Science degree at Morehead State University in Morehead, KY before attending the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY to receive both her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration degrees. She pursued post-doctorate training through a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency and a PGY2 hematology/oncology pharmacy residency program at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. After completing residency, she took a position as a clinical pharmacy specialist in medical oncology at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown, WV before she ultimately returned to her alma mater at UK to serve in her current role as a hematology/bone marrow transplant clinical pharmacist. Her current clinical practice areas include malignant hematology, hematopoietic stem cell transplant, and immune effector cell therapy.
