Tara Dewees, based in Hyden, Kentucky, began her career with ARH in June 2020 as one of the first Peer Recovery Coaches in Hazard, where she helped implement the Reverse the Cycle Program. In 2022, she expanded the program to Harlan ARH and now serves as Director of Behavioral Health Outreach and Recovery, overseeing peer recovery efforts across the system. A Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, Tara is deeply committed to supporting individuals in crisis, guiding employees impacted by trauma, and advancing recovery pathways for those affected by substance use disorder.
