Adam Strong is a second-year medical student (MD candidate) at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine with research interests in oncology outcomes, health equity, and financial toxicity in rural and Appalachian populations. He conducts patient-centered cancer research in collaboration with investigators through the Comprehensive Connected Cancer Care (C4) Program at the Markey Cancer Center, focusing on financial well-being, oncology team communication, and social drivers of psychological distress. He holds a Master of Public Policy and previously worked as a clinical laboratory scientist performing diagnostic testing, experiences that inform his research perspective at the intersection of policy, clinical workflows, and patient care.
