W. Scott Black, MD received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky.  He completed his residency and was Chief Resident in Family Medicine at the University of Kentucky Department of Family and Community Medicine.  He later completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University.  Dr. Black has over 30 years of experience practicing and teaching Family and Sports Medicine.  Prior to returning to UK, he started a community – based Lifestyle Medicine practice at Owensboro Health in Owensboro, KY.  He has been back at UK since August 2023 where he currently serves as Clinical Director of the University Health Service.
