Danielle Sherar, MBA, RN, TCRN
Danielle currently serves as the Vice President, Trauma Service Line for Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, Texas. Prior to this role, she served as the Executive Director of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Forensics for JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mrs. Sherar brings 19 years of experience in trauma and critical care, including ICU and trauma nursing, trauma and emergency general surgery program development, and performance improvement. Her career began as a Trauma Surgical ICU nurse where she developed a strong passion for caring for trauma and surgical patient populations. She has worked in both Level I and II trauma centers and has led multiple initiatives focused on quality, operational excellence, and patient outcomes.
She is actively involved in statewide and national trauma leadership. Her current and recent roles include:
- President, Texas Trauma Coordinators Forum
- Executive Committee Member, Texas TQIP
- Recent Past Chair, North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council
- Recent Past Nurse Partner, ACS Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) Best Practice Guidelines
Mrs. Sherar is a trauma nurse surveyor for TETAF, a DSHS Performance Improvement Expert Panelist, and an instructor for the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Trauma Outcomes and Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC).
