Dr. Donna Carpenter is the State Director of the Kentucky DeafBlind Project. She has served in various roles with the Project since 2006 before stepping into the Director position this past summer. In addition, she is a faculty member at the University of Kentucky, where she leads the DeafBlind Graduate Certificate Program. Donna is a certified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, an Elementary Education teacher, and Montessori Early Childhood certified. She also holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership. Her professional interests include exploring how children are presented to other professionals and fostering positive mindsets using family photo stories. Donna is passionate about her work and feels grateful to do what she loves every day.
