I am Erica Perkins,a mother of one child, Shiloh. Shiloh had several complications at birth due to hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, lack of oxygen to the brain. He initially passed his hearing test at birth. As time went on, and he was making few sounds, his hearing was tested again. He now has mild to moderate hearing loss with a chance of it worsening as he grows. Shiloh and I live in Lexington.
