Overview
This presentation topic was suggested by the pharmacy department to provide education on inpatient and outpatient management of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). There have been newer trials published on the topic which could provide new insight into managing patients requiring treatment. The UofL Health Rheumatology clinic evaluates 60 patients with SLE on average per year, with an estimated 8 patients hospitalized for SLE. This session will provide an overview of the newest literature and provide guidance for both inpatient and outpatient management of SLE.
