Date & Time of Session - 9/9/25 - from 12:00 - 1:00PM

Overview: This presentation will provide pharmacists with knowledge about the evolving role of CAR T-cell therapy for non-malignant conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus, myasthenia gravis and multiple sclerosis. A review of CAR T-cell mechanism, manufacturing process and toxicity monitoring/management is also provided. As more cellular therapies enter the investigational pipeline and are approved, pharmacists will play a critical role in managing patients who may have previously received or are being evaluated to receive CAR T-cell therapy. This foundational presentation on early data of CAR T-cell therapy in non-hematologic conditions equips the pharmacy department to have a baseline understanding of the complexities of these therapies and their implications for clinical practice.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Recall the mechanism, manufacturing process and key toxicities associated with CAR T-cell therapy.
2. Evaluate emerging data supporting the use of CAR T-cell therapy in non-hematologic diseases.
3. Discuss next steps and the potential role of cellular therapy for autoimmune conditions.
