Overview
Preceptors play a critical role in shaping resident development, professional identity, and practice readiness. As residency training continues to evolve, effective precepting requires the intentional creation of learning experiences that promote growth, reflection, and progressive autonomy. Additionally, artificial intelligence tools are rapidly becoming integrated into healthcare and education, creating both opportunities and responsibilities for preceptors and learners. By strengthening foundational teaching practices and establishing expectations for responsible AI use, we can better prepare residents for contemporary pharmacy practice while maintaining high standards of patient care and professional integrity.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Outline key residency program updates and expectations for the upcoming residency year.
2. Apply principles of deliberate practice, psychological safety, and growth mindset to create impactful learning experiences for residents.
3. Employ artificial intelligence tools appropriately into residency education while adhering to organizational policy and maintaining professional accountability.
