Date & Time of Session - 3/9/26 - from 12:00 - 1:00 PM

Overview
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a complex neuromuscular disorder that requires thoughtful medication management. Careful selection of medications is required when treating a patient with myasthenia gravis, so not to exacerbate their current condition, but to also treat their symptoms and improve quality of life. Understanding which medications to avoid, when to use IVIG or plasma exchange, and how to optimize chronic regimens is essential for improving patient outcomes. Additionally, new therapeutic agents and targets have recently been identified, shifting how these patients are chronically managed. Identification of these newer agents, as well as understanding how to manage patients with myasthenia gravis in both an inpatient and outpatient setting, is crucial for pharmacists to optimize patient care. Reviewing current evidence for management and newly approved medication options for treatment will aid in clinical decision-making and support safer medication administration overall.
