Dr. Garris is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the University of Virginia. She completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina and then completed Child Neurology Residency and Pediatric Movement Disorders Fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. She has been on faculty at the University of Virginia, specializing in pediatric movement disorders while also seeing general neurology patients. She serves as the medical student Clerkship Director for Neurology and has research interests in functional movement disorders, currently funded by the Child Neurology Foundation.
