Harold Brown, BSN, RN

Harold Brown is a service-focused professional who has dedicated most of his career in healthcare to the stroke population. He began working on the stroke care unit at UK’s Albert B. Chandler Hospital in 2011, starting as a nursing care technician while completing his bachelor’s degree in nursing. After graduation, his passion led him to remain on UK’s progressive-care stroke unit as a nurse.
While on the stroke unit, Harold also served as chair of the Acute/Progressive Care Council for UK HealthCare. During this time, he played a key role in improving patient satisfaction scores by developing “A Day in the Life”, a staff learning module designed to increase nursing sensitivity to the patient and caregiver experience.
Since 2019, Harold has served as a Nurse Educator with the Stroke Care Network, where he continues to advance stroke education and support for healthcare professionals and patients across the region.
